    Belvidere Mountain Structural Complex - ultramafic rocks (Cambrian and Neoproterozoic) at surface, covers % of this area Brown to white-weathering, green, massive, moderately to fully serpentinized dunite and peridotite and schistose serpentinite; rusty-weathering, medium-grained talc-carbonate rock and quartz-carbonate (magnesite) rock. Her thesis, “Geology of the Belvidere Mountain Complex, Eden and Lowell, Vermont”, involved bedrock mapping, structure, metamorphic petrology and geochemistry. Experience prior to joining the VGS includes SEM and XRD applied to core analyses, and education. She has been an effective collaborator with state and national partners.

    Eden, Vermont is a town in Lamoille County. Eden was originally chartered in by Governor Thomas Chittenden to 72 Green Mountain Boys who had fought in the Revolution under Colonel Seth Warner. It was hoped that these veterans would settle there in their own "Garden of Eden.". One of six volumes generated by each GSA section for the Decade of North American Geology (DNAG) project, this Centennial Field Guide contains descriptions of sites or site clusters representing outstanding geologic locations in northern Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, New Mexico, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming, and Alberta.
